Joe Grillo
Managing Director
Mr. Grillo co-heads the Investment Banking Group and is Head of the Consumer Investment Banking practice. He has over 15 years experience with retail and consumer products companies as an investment banker, a venture capitalist, and an operator. Previously Mr. Grillo worked for DB Alex. Brown as a research analyst in the consumer group. Prior to this, he worked in merchandizing and product management for Levi Strauss and Co. Mr. Grillo received an MBA from Georgetown University and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
 
Jonathan Howe
Managing Director
Mr. Howe co-heads the Investment Banking Group and is Head of Mergers & Acquisitions . Mr. Howe has over 20 years of investment banking experience gained while working at Wedbush Morgan, Bear, Stearns & Co., and Houlihan Lokey Howard and Zukin. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions representing both acquirors and sellers with particular expertise representing Special Committees of Boards of Directors. Mr. Howe has also closed numerous transactions for public and private clients in the forms of public offerings and private placements as well as advisory assignments including over 25 fairness opinion engagements. He has also served as CFO of branded specialty retailer, Big Dog Holdings, where he led the company's successful IPO. Mr. Howe received an MBA from the University of Southern California and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
 
Duncan Williams
Managing Director
Mr. Williams co-heads the Investment Banking Group and is Head of the Industrials Investment Banking practice. Mr. Williams has completed over 50 transactions, including cross border public company merger and acquisitions and public and private equity raisings. Prior to joining Wedbush, Mr. Williams spent 10 years at UBS Investment Bank in London and San Francisco, where he held senior roles in the Industrials and Technology groups. Mr. Williams received his MA in History from Oxford University.
 
Bart Gurewitz
Managing Director
Mr. Gurewitz is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking practice with expertise in Specialty Retail, Apparel, Financial Services and Special Situations. Prior to joining Wedbush Morgan Securities in 1975, he was with the Corporate Finance Department of William R. Staats & Co. and its successor firms Glore Forgan Staats and duPont Walston. He was a Vice President at Staats when it was acquired by Wedbush Morgan. Mr. Gurewitz has over 35 years of investment banking experience including public offerings, leveraged buyouts, private placements, mergers and acquisitions and valuations primarily for smaller to medium-sized companies. He was a director of Anna's Linen Co., Astech Manufacturing, Inc., Raypak, Inc. and Reliable Laundry Services. He was also a Managing General Partner of the first Wedbush Capital Partners, a $30 million private equity fund. Mr. Gurewitz served as a Captain and hospital administrator in the US Air Force. He received an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles and a BS in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.
 
Christine Heiss
Senior Vice President
Ms. Heiss is a Senior Vice President in the Technology Investment Banking practice leading various sectors within communications, enterprise software, interactive entertainment and semiconductors, and brings 14 years of experience providing merger, acquisition, buyout, private placement, capital market and valuation advisory services to public and private technology companies. Prior to joining Wedbush Morgan, Ms. Heiss was a Director with Pharus Advisors and PricewaterhouseCoopers Securities, where she provided M&A and private placement services to a range of technology clients. Ms. Heiss served on the board of directors for Siliconix, Inc.(NASDAQ: SILI) a leading power semiconductor manufacturer where she co-chaired the audit and compensation committees. Ms. Heiss began her career as a CPA performing audit services for a top tier accounting firm. Ms. Heiss received an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and a BS in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University.
 
Chris Page, JD
Senior Vice President
Mr. Page is a Senior Vice President in the Industrials Investment Banking practice focused on the energy technology and environmental services sectors. He has more than 16 years of combined investment banking and legal experience acquired at leading international law firms and investment banks providing mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and private placements advisory services to public and private emerging growth companies. Mr. Page received a JD from Whittier Law School and a BA in Business and Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
 
Steve Horkay
Senior Vice President
Mr. Horkay is a Senior Vice President in the Technology Investment Banking practice and leads the Wireless, Telecommunications Software, and Financial Technology practices. Mr. Horkay's experience includes registered public equity offerings, convertible securities, private investments in public equities (PIPEs), leveraged finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Mr. Horkay was in the Media and Telecommunications Investment Banking Group at Banc of America Securities, where he advised and raised equity and debt capital for both early-stage and established companies. Mr. Horkay received an MBA from the University of Michigan Business School and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
 
Celia Taroc
Vice President
Ms. Taroc is a Vice President in the Consumer Investment Banking practice. Ms. Taroc has expertise covering a broad spectrum of investment banking transactions including public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, private placements, fairness opinions and valuations. She was also involved in the start-up marketing, investing and day-to-day operations of Wedbush Capital Partners first private equity fund from 1987 to 2002. Ms. Taroc received a BA in Economics from Maryknoll College.
