Job Description:
Provide primary research and analytical support to a Research Analyst who covers the Biotechnology space. Will assist with conducting regular due diligence on covered companies; conduct industry, market and company research; build and maintain financial models; contribute written sections to reports on covered companies; interact with internal Equities sales force. This is an outstanding opportunity for the individual who wishes to leverage his/her scientific knowledge and passion for the financial markets into a career as an Equity Research Analyst in that space.
Job Qualification:
- MS/PhD in Biological Science;
- 1-2 years of experience as a sell-side Equity Research Associate or IB Analyst;
- FINRA Series 7, 86, 87 licenses required;
- CFA or part desirable;
- Prior work experience in a biotech related industry desirable;
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written essential;
- Requires curious, creative, big-picture thinker who has a passion for the stock market; also, ability to pay scrupulous attention to detail, and synthesize large amounts of information.
