Jim Stricklin
Managing Director, Manager of Arizona Public Finance
Mr. Stricklin joined Wedbush Securities in October 2008 from Peacock, Hislop, Staley & Given, Inc., when the firm was acquired. He has more than 25 years of experience and has been responsible for public finance innovations, program development and implementation in areas including advance refunding, general obligation and unique revenue bond work. Mr. Stricklin has developed and implemented financings programs for numerous municipal issuers. In addition, Mr. Stricklin worked for Ernst & Whitney (now Ernst & Young) for three years, where his responsibilities included advanced municipal refunding verification, bond issue design and municipal budget formation. He passed the CPA exam and completed the certification requirements in 1984. Mr. Stricklin is a supporter, or member of various professional organizations including the Arizona League of Cities and Towns, the Arizona City Managers Association, GFOA, GFOAz, the Arizona School Boards Association, the Arizona Hispanic School Administrators Association and the Arizona Association of School Business Officials. Mr. Stricklin has a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting and Real Estate from the University of Arizona. His professional registrations include Series 7, 53 and 63.
