Wedbush Securities Announces Addition of Futures Trading Veterans William Barry and Steven Slovak

New Managing Directors Help Grow and Serve Institutional Clientele

Los Angeles, CA – September 6, 2017 – Wedbush Securities is pleased to announce the appointment of William “Bill” Barry and Steven “Steve” Slovak as Managing Directors, Fixed Income Financing, Futures and Rates. Reporting to Managing Director Scott Skyrm, the duo will focus on expanding Wedbush’s presence in the futures, options, and fixed income spaces – leveraging a combined 60+ years of experience to help establish and further develop relationships with institutions seeking customized, low-latency trading services.

Bill Barry brings over 27 years of experience in securities trading business development. Previously, Bill served as Head of Global Business Development at Sage Trader, and as Managing Director at TFS Derivatives Corporation in New York. With a track record of work with institutional clients, Bill also worked in global business development at Jefferies, and 15 years leading international business development at Penson Worldwide. Bill graduated with his BS in Economics from New York University. Additionally, Bill also holds his Series 3 license.

Steve Slovak also adds his extensive background, having likewise served in Global Futures Business Development at Sage Trader, and as Director at TFS Derivatives Corporation. Previously, Steve worked at Jefferies, Inc., spent five years working in business development at Penson, and 12 years managing the international trade desk at Fimat USA, LLC. Steve graduated from Rutgers University with a double major in Economics and Business Administration and holds his Series 3 license.
