John V. Goodman

Biography

John V. Goodman is a seasoned leader in the financial services industry, bringing over 40 years of experience building businesses and guiding clients. He founded Goodman Wealth Advisors (GWA), growing it into a respected group serving clients throughout the country. Today, John serves as Chairman and CEO of GWA at Wedbush Securities, where he leads the team’s strategic direction with a focus on business development, client relationships, and investment management.

Before joining Wedbush, John served as Senior Managing Director at McDonald Partners. Prior to that, he was with Wells Fargo Advisors. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at several prominent firms, including Lehman Brothers Inc., Société Générale, E.F. Hutton, and S.G. Cowen Securities Corp., gaining deep expertise across a range of institutional platforms and market environments.

John attended The Ohio State University and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Political Science and Communications from Cleveland State University, where he was named to the Dean’s List. He and his wife Stephanie raised their three children in Chagrin Falls and remain actively involved in the Northeast Ohio community.
