The Wedbush Technology Investment Banking team and Enterprise Software Analysts welcomed investors and technology professionals to a luncheon in San Francisco focused on AI and Next Generation Software Technologies.
The round table discussion featured keynote speaker, Thomas M. Siebel. Siebel is the founder and CEO of C3.ai, a computer software company that provides a Platform as a Service and Software as a Service applications for rapidly developing and operating enterprise-scale big data, predictive analytics, AI, and IoT solutions. He was also the founder and CEO of Siebel Systems, one of the world’s leading software companies that pioneered the CRM software market.
Other featured panelists for the event included, Jai Das, President, Managing Director & Co-Founder at Sapphire Ventures, and Kartik Hosanger, Professor of Marketing, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Das invests in startups which he believes are developing ground-breaking products and services, and have embarked on their journey to become a company of consequence. He has more than 15 years of experience helping companies innovate their product and marketing strategies in order to scale and become market leaders.
Hosanger’s research work focuses on the digital economy, in particular the impact of analytics and algorithms on consumers and society, Internet media, Internet marketing and e-commerce. The co-founder of four different ventures, he was recognized in 2011 by Poets & Quants as one of the “Top 40 Business Professors Under 40.”
